Knowing every pCloud feature is like mastering a yoga class. It takes time but it’s so worth it in the end. You can always find something cool in pCloud that can help you be productive throughout the day. That’s why I’d like to introduce you to some of pCloud’s hidden eggs. You haven’t heard about these features, but I’m sure once you find out about them, you’ll love them.

#1 Resize photos directly from pCloud

Ever had to resize a photo on the go? You can easily resize images online with my.pCloud.

  1. Mark the photo you want to resize
  2. Click on the More button
  3. Choose Download resized.

You’ll get a list of different file sizes. Find the one that fits your needs and confirm. pCloud will immediately show you the resized version of your image. In addition, you can also choose whether you would like to crop your images upon resize.

#2 Compress videos and download them easily

If you’re looking for a video size conversion tool without downloading software, pCloud can do the job just right. Similar to resizing photos, you can compress videos from my.pCloud.

  1. Mark the video you want to compress
  2. Click on the More button
  3. Choose Download converted

pCloud will show you appropriate options for video compression, along with their new size, which is available for your video. Confirm and you’re ready!

#3 Take screenshots and upload them automatically to pCloud

You already know that with pCloud Drive, you can save and share screenshots without effort. However, did you know that you could do that from my.pCloud as well? This is one hidden egg of pCloud that I personally love and use a lot. The only thing you have to do is to take your screenshot and paste it to my.pCloud. You’ll get a preview before you save, which is super convenient.

  1. Take a screenshot of any screen
    • with the Print Screen key on your keyboard for Windows
    • with the Shift-Command-5 key combination for MacOS
  2. Go to my.pCloud and paste it with Ctrl/Command+V

#4 Easily create archives, directly in the cloud

Here’s another curious thing you can do in pCloud – create archives. For those, who believe that organization comes when you create 10 .zip files, you can easily create them in the cloud.

  1. Mark the files you want to archive
  2. From the menu at the top, select Create archive
  3. Assign where you would like to save this archive and confirm

#5 Customize your Automatic Upload

One of the perks of having the pCloud on your phone is Automatic Upload. You can back up photos and videos directly to pCloud. That way, no memory would be lost in case something happens with your phone. Here’s an interesting fact: you can customize what exactly you want to back up.

In order to customize your Automatic Upload in Android and iOS:

  1. Go to Settings  and locate Automatic Upload
  2. Tap on Automatic Upload setting and fit your preferences

You can choose between uploading photos, videos or both types of files. You can also set whether you’d like to upload all, or just newly-created ones.

#Bonus tip: Free up space from your phone

Here’s something you didn’t know about the pCloud mobile app. It has this nifty feature that helps you free up space from your iPhone or Android phone. It basically shows you how many files from your Camera Roll you have already in the cloud and you can already delete from your Camera Roll. Here’s how you can find take advantage of this feature:

For Android:

  1. Open Settings>Free device space
  2. Tap on Scan

For iOS:

  1. Open Settings>Upload settings
  2. Tap on Free up device storage
  3. Select Scan

After your scan is complete, just confirm that you want to delete these photos and videos from your phone. You’ll free up space on your phone without losing any important file.
