Surely, managing your photo collection can quickly become overwhelming. Thousands of images, multiple devices, and constant uploads make it hard to stay organised. We get that. Here are five effective ways to better manage photos in pCloud.
#1 Customise your Automatic upload
One of the perks of having the pCloud on your phone is the Automatic upload feature. Thanks to it, you can back up photos and videos directly to your cloud. This will ensure no memory’s ever lost, in case something happens with your phone. The feature alone is great. However, the fact that you can customise what exactly gets backed up, is even better.
To customise your Automatic upload in Android and iOS:
- Go to Settings and locate Automatic upload
- Tap on Automatic upload and set your preferences
There are minor differences between the two operating systems. But, generally, these settings allow you to control which files are automatically uploaded to your pCloud account.
#2 View photos in a timeline gallery
pCloud has introduced a dedicated Photos section which automatically displays your images in a clean, timeline-style gallery. This allows you to scroll through memories by date. Much easier to revisit moments without digging through folders, isn’t it?
It’s especially useful if you prefer a more visual browsing experience instead of manual organisation. Plus, thanks to the exclusions option, you can ignore the boring stuff and keep it all smiles.
#3 Edit photos directly in pCloud
Why switch between apps when you can do everything in one place? With pCloud’s built-in Photo editor, you can enhance your images without having to leave pCloud. What’s included?
- Instant filters: Transform your photos with one click using filters like Retrofilm, Vibrant, Vintage, Duotone, and more.
- Fine-tune your images: Adjust brightness, contrast, highlights, and shadows to get the perfect look.
- Quick fixes: Crop, rotate, and flip images easily.
- Real-time preview: See your changes instantly as you edit.
#4 Maps view
One of the most engaging ways to revisit your memories in pCloud is through its Maps view. This feature lets you see your photos pinned to the exact locations where they were taken, using GPS data captured by your device.
Instead of scrolling endlessly through folders, you can explore your travels visually, jumping from city to city and rediscovering moments right where they happened. It adds a geographical layer to your photo library, making it feel more like a personal journey than just a collection of files.
#5 Back up from other platforms
If you regularly upload photos to, say, Facebook, pCloud can automatically back them up. Once connected, the feature saves your uploaded images directly to your cloud storage.
