The latest pCloud update for macOS brings a new search feature, that makes it even easier to search files quickly. Now you can type queries directly to the Drive’s search, and get instant results—regardless of where the files are located on your pCloud account. And with a single search, you can find any file that you need, as well as the folder that is stored in. 

 

How and what can be searched: 

  • Find any file or folder by name;
  • Find the location of a particular file
  • Preview the file Information, file size, date of upload, and modification 
  • File preview 

 

#1. File Search 

The powerful drive search will get you to your files in no time:

  • Go to the pCloud icon in the menu bar;
  • Right-click on it;
  • Select ”search pCloud”;
  • Type the file name. *Currently the search is only via filename.

#2. Locations

Search the location of a particular file:

  • Go to the pCloud icon in the menu bar;
  • Right-click on it;
  • Select ”search pCloud”;
  • Type the file name;
  • Right-click on it;
  • Select ”Show in enclosing folder”.

 

#3. File Preview 

Preview any file that you wish: 

  • Go to the pCloud icon in the menu bar;
  • Right-click on it;
  • Select ”search pCloud”;
  • Type the file name;
  • Double click or Right-click on it and select ”Open”.

#4. File Information

A summary shows the most relevant properties of found files. These include file size and modification dates.

  • Go to the pCloud icon in the menu bar;
  • Right-click on it;
  • Select ”search pCloud”;
  • Type the file name.

With this update, pCloud allows you to search any file in the Drive directly.
