With our third-party backups on Android, those scattered moments are over. Starting today, you can securely back up your files from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Facebook directly to your pCloud Android app. It’s an effortless way to keep everything organised and accessible in one secure place.
How to back up?
- Open pCloud on your Android phone.
- Click “Enable Third-party backups” on the homescreen OR go to Main menu -> Settings -> Third-party backups.
- Hit the Start or Enable button of the app you want to make a backup from .
- Grant the necessary permissions.
- Sip a beverage, while the app does the job in the background.
- Your files have a secure copy in pCloud.
A few things to note
- pCloud copies files from other services into your pCloud account, without changing the originals.
- Even if the original files were deleted, your pCloud backups will remain intact.
- Each backup creates a new sub-folder in your Backups, labeled with the backup date.
- Facebook backups run automatically every 7 days.
- Google, Dropbox, and OneDrive backups are a one-time thing. You can initiate a new backup 28 days after the last one.
- You can always disconnect your current backup and link a different account with the same provider.
