According to one study, iPhone users use Touch ID 89% of the time. At pCloud, we believe that security is a necessity that should be easy to apply, but hard to breach. That’s why with our latest iOS update, we make easier security happen, with our support for TouchID and FaceID.
You can now use TouchID and FaceID and be the only one to access your pCloud account.
Enabling TouchID and FaceID protection for your important files is easy. If you’ve already enabled TouchID on your phone, the the only thing you left to do is to:
- Update pCloud to 1.33.0 and go to the app’s Settings
- Enable Passcode lock protection
- Enter a Security code and confirm
The next time you need to use your files at pCloud, you’ll need TouchID or FaceID to unlock your phone. This applies when you’re using pCloud with other apps as well.
Replace your Camera Roll
That’s not the only thing you can do with the latest app update. Now, your photos and videos in pCloud are even more organized! You can easily replace your Camera Roll, because the Photo and Video gallery in pCloud got a gorgeous makeover.
pCloud filters make it easier to organize and find the files you work with the most, whether that’s documents, audio or photos. We tweaked those filters a bit and merged Photos and Videos in a single, classy-looking Gallery.
The new Photos and Videos filter organizes your media chronologically. It makes it fun and easy to go back and enjoy all the memories you’ve made throughout the years. You can take it as the better alternative of your Camera Roll, because it doesn’t take space from your iPhone. In fact, if you’ve enabled the automatic backup of your Camera Roll, you actually free up space on your iPhone.
Once your photos and videos are in pCloud, you’ll be able to preview and share them from your tablet, from your laptop or from any web browser.
